Passion. Experience. diligence.

Hi, I’m Patrick eraikhuemen, esq.

Is a complex dispute draining your resources? I can help! With vast experience in education, oil, and legal fields, I now serve as a professional Mediator and Arbitrator, respectively.

Licensed to practice law in Nigeria - a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, I was appointed a State Counsel. In that capacity, I handled both criminal and civil cases on behalf of the state, before going into private practice. Over a career that spans three decades, I have experience dealing with criminal cases, and a variety of civil disputes, including those arising out of breach of contract, professional malpractice, deceptive trade practices, tortious acts, and general business disputes. In Nigeria, Lawyers are trained in ALL areas of Law. This experience allows me to understand the nuances of your situation and navigate even the most challenging negotiations.

I am an Adjunct Professor at Lone Star College System and Houston Community College, respectively. I have attended professional development workshops and seminars and was nominated for the Lone Star College Adjunct Teacher Excellence Award for the 2018/2019 academic year. A recipient of the Adjunct Teacher Excellence Award for the 2022/2023 academic year at Lone Star College.

I bring my wealth of experience to bear on my practice as a professional mediator - to guide parties to creative ideas, to identify and explore new options, and to reach a legally binding negotiated agreement - of their own making - that is acceptable to all parties moving forward.

As a professional Mediator, I engage, as a neutral, to earnestly guide parties in finding fair, equitable, and economical solutions to disputes. The Mediator shepherds the process for the parties to reach solutions that they themselves authored.

As an Arbitrator, I hear and decide disputes between opposing parties, outside of the courtroom, typically with massive savings of their precious time, energy, and expense - which litigation entails.

The cost-effectiveness of both Mediation and Arbitration - as Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) - for individuals and businesses cannot be overemphasized!

My Approach

Identify the materiality of issues, and each party’s real interest(s) - at hand…

Deploy a wide range of techniques to guide the process in a constructive direction, and to help the parties to achieve their optimal solution. Help them to arrive at a meaningful and enduring resolution - the value to which they both can relate - that addresses their concerns, and makes each side a winner!!

…Let them talk! It is their conflict! Listen actively, understand, and evaluate the core concerns, desires, and goals that are elemental to each party’s position!

WHATEVER IT IS, THE WAY YOU HANDLE A MEDIATION CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE!!!
